Events Organised by the Society
Each year the Society organises events in different locations throughout the UK. These events are open to members of the Society and non-members of the Society and are typically cross-industry and broad based in focus.
Technical Safety and Reliability Seminar
Joint Technical Day with The Royal Institute of Naval Architects will be held at RINA in 2010. SaRS will join with RINA to bring together a group of professionals to speak on this important theme. Please email the office to register interest.
Events in Manchester
Following the highly successful '21st Century Reliability' event in 2009, the Society would like to explore this theme further with '21st Century Reliability: the first decade'. This event will take place at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Manchester on 15th July 2010.
Events in Aberdeen
North of Scotland Dinner
The North of Scotland Branch of the Society host a dinner each year during May in Aberdeen.
The Annual Dinner 2011, which celebrates 10 years of North of Scotlan Dinners in Aberdeen will be held in May 2011. To book for this event, please call the office on 0161 228 7824
Technical Safety Seminars
The North of Scotland Branch of the Safety and Reliability Society will be hosting all day Technical Safety Seminars in Aberdeen at regular intervals. The aims of the Seminars are to provide appropriate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Technical Safety Engineers working in the oil and gas industry. Following several successful CPD events in 2008 and 2009, there will be an further CPD event on 25th November 2010 at the Marcliffe at Pitfodels in Aberdeen on Leadership. SaRS Competency Conference
Solutions to the Reliability and Safety Engineering Shortfall (follow up seminar). The Society will hold an outcome and progress seminar on the subject of the skills gap in 2009.
