The Society is interested in providing a forum for discussion about current issues in Safety and Reliability. This part of the site aims to provide a range of consultation and reference documents to stimulate ongoing interest.
Consultation Documents
HSE are consulting on proposed changes to the Pipelines Safety Regulations 1996. The main proposals are the inclusion of gasoline and carbon dioxide as dangerous fluids requiring the additional duties of regulations 19 to 27 including preparing a Major Accident Prevention Document and emergency procedures and plans. The consultation document, CD228, can be found on the HSE website at www.hse.gov.uk/consult/condocs/cd228.htm
Anyone wishing to comment through the Society can submit comments to the office or to Harry Hopkins at harry@hhrisk.co.uk , the consultation ends on 1st March 2010.
