The London Branch are pleased to announce the first event of the 2019/2020 Branch calendar.

Come and hear four early career S&R professionals present on interesting safety and reliability topics from across a range of sectors, followed by a Q&A and a prize for the best presentation (sponsored by Virkonnen Ltd).

Our four speakers are:

  • Aadam Sumar from Engineering Safety Consultants who will explore the application of systems safety in a digital world.
  • Ashley Brooks from Imperial College London will discuss the use of the STAMP model and tools (STPA) for the safety and security analysis of road transport and integrated technologies.
  • Bernat Cirera from CRA Risk Analysis will present a study on the consequences of a potential accident at an SMR on societal harm using PSA.
  • Paul Muchatuta from Mott MacDonald will dicuss how sustainability can improve safety and reliability.

The meeting will begin at 1730, for a 1800 start and will finish by 1930. We will then have our annual London Branch event with cheese and wine, kindly provided by Mott MacDonald. Meetings are open to all, you do not need to be a member of SaRS to attend.
