Anthony joined SaRS Council in June 2023.

He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, with over 35 years’ experience on multidisciplinary projects in the rail industry worldwide (involving new/novel equipment), including heavy freight railways in the Middle East, and high-speed and metro railways in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia, covering ISA, IV&V, Safety Assessment, Safety Cases, RAM, and Risk Management services. 

Previously involved in preparing and updating risk assessments and Safety Cases for the transport, nuclear, and aerospace industries

Currently employed on a number of overseas rail projects, involving either re-signalling of brownfield railways or new-build greenfield railways, following CENELEC principles.

Prior to this was employed in Victoria, Australia for nearly 5 years on the Metro Tunnel Project (new CBTC operated railway extension) and latterly the Melbourne Airport Rail Project, plus a number of upgrade and revival works.
